Green Line Station Stops at Boston University

Boston, MA

Boston, MA

BWA Architecture provided architectural design services for the Station Consolidation Project at Boston University located along the MBTA’s Green Line B-Branch on Commonwealth Avenue. Two new larger platform stations replaced four older ones with new lighting, signage and shelters, allowing for faster and fully accessible service through the neighborhood.

The 150’ long station canopies, with their rhythmic pylons, curved-and-ribbed roofs and brightly-colored panels are notable new urban nodes.
